Although these blocks are intended for open play they can be used in many different by the entire family, young and old. The blocks make a great ornament and centre piece in hall ways or on coffee tables especially combined with additional wooden log discs. When enjoyed peacefully they allow practising mindfulness and help to guide you into a meditative state.
Each balancing block is made from hand selected prime hardwoods. Every set includes at least 4 different species of timbers which gives each set a unique look and feel. Looking at the wood close-up you will be amazed how different every timber grain looks and feels. The intricate pattern for instance of banksia timber in comparison to the plain grain of jarrah is a good example. The timber species used for each set depend on availability and may include: marri, jarrah, sheoak, white oak, walnut, karri, tuart, banksia, cape lilac, maple, mulga, york gum, iron bark & peppermint tree just to name a view. Some of timbers are even processed straight from the fresh log.
To assist with cleaning the blocks and up-holding a beautiful finish of the wood surface re-apply food-grade orange oil every 6 month. Don’t use wax as a finish though as it makes the blocks to slippery to stack.
